The Wave is a breath-taking geologic formation that sits just south of the Arizona/Utah border in Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. Winning a permit to visit the area is half the battle of getting there, followed by a minimum six mile round-trip hike in the unforgiving terrain of the Paria Plateau traversing wash, sand dunes, and slick rock faces. Any visit there is something to be remembered!
